Sarah
A Virginia native, Sarah completed a dental assisting program here in the Valley after deciding orthodontics was the field for her! She has earned a Certificate of Specialization in Leadership and Management through a program at Harvard Business School and is currently completing her Bachelor of Science at James Madison University with a specific concentration in Healthcare Leadership – GO DUKES! During her time at JMU, Sarah was honored with induction into the very selective Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society, recognizing her academic excellence by ranking in the top 7.5 percent of her class. She was also selected for induction into The Society for Collegiate Leadership & Achievement (SCLA), an accredited honor society recognizing high-achieving college students, and has been further recognized for her outstanding academic achievements and leadership qualities by Zenab Bastawala, Assistant Professor of Graphic Design at James Madison University—an exclusive honor extended to only a small percentage of students, reflecting her commitment to excellence and leadership. After a decade in the field, Sarah became a published author of the illustrated children’s book, My First Visit to the Orthodontist, to further educate kids and their families on the specialty of orthodontics. When she’s not in the office, she’s a busy mama to her two kids, Cora and Hudson, and enjoys traveling with her husband. We’re grateful for all she does to keep our practice running smoothly!
